How difficult is it to get a replacement headband to get dark mesh with silver?
Was just wondering the same thing. I have the silver/white version, but the headband and ear cushions tend to get kind of dingy looking over time. I replaced the cushions with black ones, but I guess the only option for a headband would be to find a broken pair on eBay or something?

and this customization with grey / black headband and ear cushions looks so nice!!

i assume an apple store wouldnt allow you to replace the headband with a different color??

Apparently it's very easy to pop off the headband with a SIM card removal tool. There's a little pin hole under the ear cup that releases it. I haven't been brave enough to actually try this myself but it's worth googling if you're interested and adventurous.

There were a lot of rumors flying around that they were planning to make AirPods Max more customizable, but aside from the availability of standalone ear pads, that never happened.

I think they're really missing an opportunity here. You can't walk 2 blocks in NYC right now without seeing someone wearing these headphones -- a lot of them customized with stickers and things.
