Today is the launch day of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, which means that carriers are now offering deals and savings on the newest generation of iPhone. In this article we've highlighted all the best iPhone 12 and 12 Pro deals from the major carriers and a few retailers.

AT&T

At AT&T, you can get up to $800 off the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. The requirements for this offer include the trade-in of an existing smartphone and adding a new line or upgrading an existing line on an AT&T unlimited plan.

You'll receive up to $800 in bill credits in equal amounts over 30 months. If you trade in select smartphones, this means you can get the 64GB iPhone 12 at no cost. View this offer and more at AT&T.

Verizon

Verizon is offering a similar deal for the iPhone 12 as AT&T, with the chance for customers to get the iPhone 12 at no cost with a smartphone trade-in on an unlimited line.

Verizon's deal is a bit more dense, however. For new Verizon customers, you'll get up to $550 off with the trade-in and adding a new line on an unlimited plan, and then an additional $250 can be saved if you're switching to Verizon. The same offers are available for iPhone 12 Pro.

For existing Verizon customers, you can upgrade and save up to $440 with trade-in. When purchasing any 4G or 5G smartphone (valued over $699.99) and activating it on an unlimited plan, all customers will get the new "Marvel's Avengers" video game for free. View this offer and more at Verizon.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile is offering up to $850 off the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, when trading in an iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, or iPhone XS Max.

Customers can also get two iPhone 12 models and two lines on T-Mobile Essentials for $100 per month. Just add two lines of service on an Essentials Plan for $90 per month with autopay.

Then purchase two iPhone 12 models on a monthly payment plan, trade in two eligible smartphones, and T-Mobile will provide up to $850 back via monthly bill credits. View this offer and more at T-Mobile.

The amount of things included in the multitude of the promos is highly confusing.

I refuse to participate in bill credits which is sadly where all of the deals are these days, so I’ll just stick with factory unlocked models running on prepaid unlimited.

This is why the US market (and most post paid developed markets) has no problem with $1000 or even higher phones. The carriers are the ones doing the math. Customers only see a reasonable dollar amount op for their monthly payment.

All of these deals are trash if you only have a single line. I’m much better off keeping my $30/month AT&T prepaid plan and buying the phone outright.
I'm in the same boat. Single line on Verizon. The perks with the unlimited 5G plan are more of a ball and chain than perks. I guess the carriers are continuing with the confusion so customers can't really compare the value of what their offering with their other plans and other carriers' plans.

These deals are... decent. What are people's thoughts on holiday deals? Think they'll be better? Same?

The Big Cellular deals are usually a huge rip-off and wind up costing you a lot more. I've been with T-Mobile for 9 years. All they offered me in trade-in for my iPhone XR toward a 12 Pro was $196! I politely told them where they could shove that so-called deal...

You should be able to get a $200 Visa card on top of your trade-in.
I’m not qualified for this offer because I have been with TM for less than 5 years.
I’m considering ditching and buying from Apple an unlocked iphone one and get a pre-paid. Still I have a family plan with 4 lines for $140+Netflix. Not so bad.

These deals are always for new customers. Do any of these carriers want to retain current customers???

My partner and I will be switching to AT&T post-paid to take advantage of the $800 in credits over 30 months for the iPhone 12 Pro. Each of us will be trading in an iPhone X that we bought outright when they came out. We've been on AT&T prepaid, which was $120 per month after multi-line and auto-pay discounts for 1 unlimited plan and 1 unlimited plus plan (includes 10GB of hotspot). We use lots of data and I frequently use the hotspot feature, so we will be going with the Unlimited Extra plan which is $65 per line with 2 lines. We qualify for a 25% work discount, so after taxes and surcharges, I think it will be maybe $20 more per month.

I’ve been grandfathered into an AT&T plan from seven years ago. The costs of these unlimited plans is nuts. $60/each device? Yikes. Either I wait till I get a promotion or just buy an iPhone 12 to use without 5G.

I think you are not understanding the deal properly. I just switched from the ATT 30GB family plan for 4 users ($148/mth) to the unlimited 50GB per person plan and my monthly bill went up only $7 to $155 and I also got $800 credit for my iPhone 8 to upgrade to the 12Pro. The new plan has three users with 50GB/mth each and the fourth user has no guaranteed high speed data plan - he only use his iPhone for calls and texting he is 75 years old.

I didn't read the details of the other deals, but the TMobile deal is not as good as advertised. Its only$ $500 off with a trade-in ($50 more than you get from Apple). The $850 is only if you add an additional line.

Very confusing plans, happy with my 2 GB T-Mobile plan. Although it requires that I am extra careful when away from Wi-Fi. But some these deals are more like carrier steals. Glad I’m in no rush for 5G, by 2023 when I’m ready to upgrade, then 5G should be mainstream and much cheaper. Right now it’s nothing but a Khardashian network.

Why do the carriers need to allocate anything from their marketing budget for current customers? You're already their customer.

Their goal is to acquire new customers since investors consider that (new post paid phone subscriber additions) more important than their churn.

I'm on T-Mo but my verizon or att bills would be at least 50% higher if i was on those carriers. have to pay for the "free" or discounted phones somehow.

people don't want to pay the true price of the phone so the carriers rearrange the numbers

Because now they may lose me as I go to a new carrier.
