Starting with the 7-core GPU/256GB iMac, this device is available at $1,199.00, down from $1,299.00. This sale is only available in Blue, and it's a second-best price on this version of the 24-inch iMac.

Next, the 8-core GPU/256GB iMac is down to $1,349.00 in Silver and Orange, from $1,499.00. Shoppers should note that the Silver color requires an automatic coupon to be applied at the checkout screen in order to see this discount price.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

Compared to previous sales, this is a match of the record low price on this version of the 24-inch iMac. At this time we aren't tracking any discounts on the 512GB version of the new iMacs, but be sure to keep an eye on our Best iMac Deals guide. There, we keep track of the best iMac offers from Amazon, Adorama, B&H Photo, and other retailers, so be sure to check back often if you're shopping for an iMac for the first time, or thinking of upgrading.

Kind of embarrassing to even sell 256 GB desktop Macs at a time when there are iPhones with more storage than that. I guess they sell it to be able to offer as low an entry price as possible. Problem is, if you take the bait you're likely to run out of space pretty quick if you accumulate much at all in the way of media or documents.

Depends on what you do with your computer

I still have more than 50% free at the moment on my M1 iMac
That said, 512 starting would be nice

What the problem? Just connect external storage (ie SSD) via USB.
Much worse if you'll need more RAM - this cannot be fixed

Nice design, but less pastel and more of the darker color shade on the front of the machine. Also, matte black would be nice.

When you compare the iMac to other 4K all in one PCs, it's actually not a bad deal.
Not for nothing, but the screen is actually better than 4K. They upped the pixel count to what they call "4.5K" (4480×2520) in order to keep the pixel density at their Retina standard at 24". The previous iMac 4K had about the same pixel density at 21.5" so they had to add some resolution to keep it as sharp.

Worst to do it on portable macs. You can attach storage to these pretty discretely, not on macbooks though.

When I bought my MacBook Air 256GB in 2011, I was disappointed then there wasn't a higher storage option, but I figured I would make do, being very careful. Nevertheless that drive was full very quickly. I remember thinking then, that in 10 years a typical laptop would probably start in the 2 TB range, or maybe even much, much higher. Shame on me.
