I bought a Google Pixel 6 phone last week as it was only £299 here in the UK and then discovered that no charger in the house would charge it and the phone only came with a USB-C cable. Went to one of the local mobile shops and got the Apple USB-C PD rated 20W charger at £15 - pricey for a charging plug but as a long time Apple and Mac user I thought this is a better bet than the other USB-C chargers the shop had at about half the price. Maybe one day I'll try an iPhone...

Save $9 and lose warranty coverage? No thanks.
The Woot page says 1-year warranty from Apple is included.

As someone who is trying to migrate away from Lightning, I think I will stick to Apple's, however. I don't want to sink any more money into Lightning-based products.

I'd favor Apple just white labeling Anker chargers at this point. I have a quite nice 30W charger that's about the size of the old 5W USB-As from Apple.

Ya I probably would have jumped on this if it was a usb-c to usb-c cable. In prep for iPhone 15.

I suppose warranty isn't much of a concern, since Apple will just take your word for when it was purchased. An iPad or Mac from Woot, probably would not have full warranty if it was previously sold - but these would be "non-serialized" from an Apple warranty perspective.

What really irritates me is all of these "Ads disguised as articles" on MR. It's what kept me from renewing the $25/year membership. I understand there's some new $50 deal that gives more flexibility in what you're blocking but... meh.

Eh, just get this Anker bundle. Their 20w USB-C charger is smaller, in my experience their cables are more durable, and it’s $10 cheaper than Apple is charging right now: https://smile.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-Durable-Lightning-PowerPort/dp/B08P544KWF/
For $3 more you get 30W and folding tongs.
