Debating to Return MBP for iMac?

My 14 days is up tomorrow to return my base 13" MBP.

Since I have the Pad2 I am considering a base model iMac.

Is that the way to go? Have to make a quick decision.

You got an MBP to be portable so can your iPad do what you got the MBP for? If so then i'd say go iMac unless one day you might want to bring your computer with you for whatever the reason is.

But then again there is always LogMeIn(and similar apps) for the iPad in case you need to use your computer and you're not near it.

If I were in your shoes, I too, would get the base iMac.

The iPad and iMac would complement each other.
