Hi all
recently got a Macbook Air 13" which is running with my Dell ultra wide 38" monitor. This is plugged into 1 of the 2 USB-C ports.

I need a hub to run ethernet, 2 or more USB 3.x ports and power.

I got this hub but Time Machine backups are painfully slow on USB 3.0 for some reason..

Anyone using something half decent?

Cheers

I am a happy user of a Keychron T10:

which also has three USB 3.0 ports.

It replaced a cheap plastic dodocool model that had a tendency to heat up and only had two USB 3.0 ports.

I tried another hub from Amazon and still getting the same issue with Time Machine backups. Trying to backup 7.66GB and its done about 3.21Gb in around 2 hours!! Dog slowwww with around 2 hours remaining.

I got a 2TB SSD in an external enclosure instead for backups, so much faster. Even plugging in my 5TB WD Passport with a USB-C to USB was still slow as hell! Guess I was spoilt when I had my Macpro and thunderbolt connections lol

The Anker 5-in-1 USB-C Hub is now offered by Amazon for $26.39. Typically $33 is good for a 20 % discount. The Anker USB-C Hub also has three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and an HDMI output.
