I want to buy the ceramic Apple Watch. But... Mac Rumors says it will change later this year.

I want it for health reasons (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!).

So, one choice is to buy the ceramic watch now and then maybe Apple will do a trade in or something -- sell it on eBay. Something. But... I don't know if Apple offers trade ins and I would guess the market for slightly used Apple watches is rather weak.

Or... I could buy one of the less expensive versions and then buy the ceramic one when the new ones come out.

Any help / advice / suggestions?

Hmm... wow! That's an excellent suggestion. Looks like eBay has them for about $125 or so... I need to explore this idea more.

In my opinion, I would refer you to Swappa versus eBay. You will still find adequate sale prices, but it’s a lot more localized with tech enthusiasts over ebay. I personally don’t trust ebay as much, also, you can consider Apples refurbished Series one Apple Watches as well that includes with a one-year warranty.

Ok, have held out so far, and I have everything else Apple. How long between charges? Does an Apple Watch have to be charged everyday :( Or, do the charge pads charge it quickly? How about monitoring sleep? Any good at that? Thanks for any feedback.

It depends. You’re never going to have a consistent answer on this, because it depends what you’re using your Apple Watch for and how often. The Series 3 Apple Watch is rated for 18 hours, but most will tell you that they should be able to Achieve well over that, but it can be based on Settings and personal usage. Ultimately, I could Achieve a day and a half without charging my Apple Watch and still have 20% battery life remaining.

I fully support this! I've bought two Apple Watches, (Waiting for the third to arrive), a Samsung Phone, and two Apple iPhones, (A 6+, and an 8+), and have NEVER been dissapointed. Swappa stands behind thier listings, and having listed a couple things on there also, they do have rigorous standards, where E-bay is "you pays your money and you takes your chances". Of course, you have the option on either site to return something not described properly, but why not get it right the first time. No, I'm not a Swappa employee, just LOVE the site.

Id buy an S2 for 200$, and sell it when the new one comes out for 150$. you'll be much happier with performance that with the S1.

I could easily get two days out of mine although I charged it daily.

Since it's such a tiny battery, it does charge quicker. I've heard people say they charge it while they shower in the morning everyday and that works fine for them.

It doesn't do sleep monitoring like a FitBit. I personally used Auto Sleep. But Sleep Watch is another app that caught my eye.
