Hi Everyone,

Had a slightly unnerving experience this morning, when I woke up, there was an Apple Pay in Wallet against my debit card which had been declined. I did not make that payment and despite talking to Apple, I don't understand how anyone is able to try and make a payment from my iPhone using Apple Pay.

It only showed up on my iPhone and not my MBP and it was definitely an Apple Pay transaction. Apple suggested I change my Apple ID password, but with 2FA enabled on my account, I would be notified if anyone had tried to log in.

Also, even if they had logged in, cards need to be authorised on the new device separately, so there is no way this should be possible in theory

I would love for anyone to give some insight in to this and let me know how this can happen. Obviously, I am concerned about security, but this wasn't a transaction straight against my debit card, but via Apple Pay

I look forward to any feedback and thank you in advance

Jason

In May of this year, I encountered a similar issue with three transactions appearing as “Declined - Incorrect Security Code” for three businesses I have never patronized: GAP, Arc’teryx, and Victoria’s Secret.

Upon contacting Goldman Sachs, their initial suggestion was to modify my Apple ID password, which I deemed an unreasonable proposal.

After conducting my own investigation, I simply requested a new card number and adjusted the Security Code.

Subsequently, there were no further occurrences of this problem.

To be honest, I was not particularly impressed with Goldman Sachs’ customer service, as it required three to four representatives to reach a senior manager and agree that the action I independently took was the appropriate corrective measure.

Same here and with many other people. Some don't find out until they notice strange small charges. Scammers are good and some are very good.
I would get the decline message maybe three times a day.
Was the declined item from Apple or another company? Anyway, to make this shorter, I went
to the bank and

Same here.
