Decreased iTunes performance with Panther

Has anyone noticed decreased performance with iTunes, since the 10.3 upgrade? Sure I am running a million apps, but with 10.2 I could be running the same apps without iTunes 'skipping'. Now occasionally the song just stops for a few seconds. I understand that this happens when some other app is using all the processor.

Let me know if you have noticed this.
