Decreasing Sound Quality with Stereo Bluetooth Headset?

I have the Rocket fish rf-mab2 bluetooth headphones that I used to listen to music with the iPhone. I just used them again today and it sounds like the music has an echo to it. Could it be a software problem, something with the phone or is it most likely something physical with the headset?

I found this post through Google researching the same issues. The headphones have a "3d" sound option. While music is playing, click the play/pause button twice and it will cycle through EQ modes. Hope this helps!
