Has anyone heard when apple or a 3rd party will release a dedicated instant messaging program. It's pathetic that aim doesent work unless the program is open. If an almost 10 year old sidekick or blackberry can run a messaging program in the background, surly an iphone should be able to.

I'm losing my iphone love, and am thinking about a blackberry storm next upgrade.....unless things change soon.

I wouldn't be suprised to see iChat from Apple soon, but don't worry, once push notifications are here, AIM will be great. Until then, just don't think about it.... I know, I know, that's impossible. Good luck waiting til January 6th!
