I'm a complete newcomer to iPhone/iPod development (as are most people I guess) but I am really keen to embrace this platform and having several "good" ideas for apps.

I have been disappointed by the lack of good resources for iPhone developers on the web. I had read most of Apple's documentation and although comprehensive, it can be somewhat ovewhelming for a newcomer to Cocoa/Obj-C.

My background: I'm a hobbyist programmer (years spent coding with REALbasic) and have toyed around a little with Xcode and Obj-C but have always found the learning curve too steep.

There must be a lot of similar people out there to me who have not come from a C background - most likely a BASIC variant background (e.g. REALbasic and Visual BASIC) who want to write apps for the iPhone.

I propose constructing a site for such people. It would need articles and a forum - both of which I am prepared to host (I have plenty of bandwidth, etc). Obviously a site like this needs input from those people out there who are competent Cocoa programmers and that is what I am trying to gauge here.

Is anyone interested in starting up such a project?
