iPhone 17 Pro Max Deep blue 17 pro max looks purple and I hate it

My case has cutout for the camera bar. The body looks purple not blue. Literally so bad how can you not have a black option.

Returning my case and getting one that covers the bar so I don’t have to look at a purple phone all day

That looks blue. Idk man maybe it’s my stone colored case but all I see on mine is purple

You know, there were several in the Apple Store today that I felt looked purple-ish from angles and in the lightning there but oddly not all of them. I’ve yet to recreate it with mine so I’m no help.
 
It's a thing. People who have trouble differentiating the two colors, that is. I suffer from it. "Blurple Syndrome" haha but it does actually have a name. The colors have to be basic color wheel blue or purple, otherwise they sort of mesh in your mind, especially given ambient lighting.

Anyway, I'm sure it almost always looks "blue" to most folks haha.

You’re lucky if that’s what you see, looks an odd shade of dark blue to me and I’m not a fan. I wish it had a purple hue to it to my eyes. I skipped the pros this year because of the color choices.

Damn I see what you’re saying. I was considering silver. And apparently the blue cannot use MagSafe without damage.

My blue 17 pro max does look a bit purplish under LED lights with a not-so-great CRI. Outside and under better quality lighting, it looks more blue.
 
I saw that in Brandon Butch's unboxing, the light did make this look purple. In other light settings, it does look blue though. The color is growing on me, but I'm already seeing too many photos of this scratched up already. If I upgrade, it will be silver.

As someone who just upgraded from a Deep Purple 14 Pro to a Deep Blue 17 Pro, this doesn’t bother me 😂 actually it doesn’t look purple at all, if anything it looks slate grey!

I'm another one upgrading from a deep purple 14PM and there's definitely a difference between them. But colour is the reflection of light so in different colour temp light it does change colour slightly and sometimes has a more purple hue. Not a problem though as it's in a blue case and I can't see it when it's in my pocket or against my ear ;)

Exactly this!

When i for the first time time saw the design of the new 17 P and PM, my thought was that it’s looks like someone just slab a sticker from a new Apple box on it.
It’s just looks so cheap on a premium device with a premium price.

And also the awful camera design. Just looks like a Apple designer just took a picture of a 16Pro and stretched the camera island in Photoshop.

Don't worry, if you listen to the forum's they'll all be silver by the end of the week due to the scratches 😜
