Did apple say or imply if Deep Fusion will only be available on the Pro or will it also be available on the 11? I would think it would be available on both since they have the same processor and regular and wide angle lenses. Unless the telephoto is part of it too?

Do we know if Deep Fusion will be available on the iPhone 11 or just the iPhone 11 Pro?

I don’t think I’ve seen anything about this anywhere.

We don't know .................... but given the info we currently have (presentation) it's likely only going to be available for the Pro models.

All they said was it would this"be available this fall". If they were smart they would release it in October around when the Pixel 4 was releasing.

Just wondering, did they mention if it will apply to video? Ie filming at 1x combines sensor data from all three sensors for better quality?

Pretty sure it relies on that new chip that’s only in the 11 series. That means all of them, not just the Pro.

These newfangled computational autoexposures only work with still images because multiple exposures are taken and "stiched" together to make the end composition image. There's no way to do that at 30 FPS.

At this point only for photos, as I recall from the event.

:apple:

Thanks for the reply!

That's disappointing.

But what're the 1 Trillion ops/s for then :p

And I guess using Filmic and doing that using ML in post is just a dream..

Will the 3rd camera on the Pro allow Deep Fusion to work better than the 11 with its measly 2?

Thanks, all! I hadn’t seen anything much after the keynote about it and there isn’t anything on the product page either that mentions it.

Given that deep fusion was discussed only during the pro feature segment of the presentation, best guess would be this would be a pro only feature.
