i installed new fonts and now there is a font that's hard to read that has overridden my default font (in safari, mail, etc.) i tried to change the fonts and encoding through preferences but it doesn't change...

can anyone here tell me what i need to do or where to go to change the default font?

What kind of font was it? How did you install it? Did you get any kind of message asking if you Want to Replace ... when you installed the font?

nope, i installed it with Font Book, everything was ok then all of a sudden that font showed up and it's super hard to read... i don't know how it happened

Can you uninstall the font through Font Book? There are a bunch of utilities here to deal with corrupt fonts. Maybe one will help. Good luck.

yah i deleted the font and it worked, (even though i had to go through a few hundred fonts... lol)

thanks for your help!~!
