Default iPhone apps have gone missing!

So I successfully upgraded my unlocked iPhone 3GS to iOS5. The only problem seems to be that almost half of the default apps are gone! The Phone, Mail, Messages, Photos, Camera, Contacts, Notes; all gone. Does anyone know the cause behind this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached a quick photo of it just incase it helps.
