Hi,

I'd like to know the default iPhone 14 Pro device name once set up as a new device and logging in with Apple ID during setup. There are different answers on the net, maybe You can help me. Since I set up my new device without logging in to iCloud, it is simply called "iPhone". But now, I'd like to have the default personalized device name, that's why I'm asking. What I found out so far, there seem to exist four possibilities:

1. "John's iPhone"
2. "John Doe's iPhone"
3. "iPhone of John"
4. "iPhone of John Doe"

Could You please tell me which of those is used on a iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16?

Out of the box, the default name is "iPhone." Once the device is restored from your backup, the new name is based person's first name in my experience, your Number 1: "John's iPhone." The iPhone's name can always be changed: Settings > General > About > Name – allows you to type whatever you choose.
