When I first started up my macbook it asked to take a picture of me to use as the default picture for my username. Where can I locate this file?

I actually don't know where the image is stored (if it's not in your ~/Pictures/Photo Booth/ folder), but you should be able to access it from System Preferences -> Accounts -> <your account> -> Picture. :)

I don't know. Let's see what the OP finds. If not I found under Home>Library>Images>iChat recent pics, some other icons. Might try that one too.
