I have a MacBook Air M1 which I use for work and regular connect to monitors and TV's at my clients locations.

I often experience that when I connect it the resolution adjust to a level where it is hardly possible to read text on external screen or the retina display of the Mac this makes it a little difficult to get to settings and adjust resolution.

Is there a trick to lock the resolution to a max so that what ever I connect it to, resolution will not go to max?
