Defaulting to full desktop versions of websites ios8

I'll post this here as I did not get any responses in the iPhone forums

Is there a way to default Safari to open the Full Desktop Versions of websites? I love the expansive screen on the 6+, want to take advantage of it when web browsing.

Even here in Macrumors, I have to constantly select the desktop version by swiping down from the Internet search field at the top of the page.

Uve posted this in ios 7 forum .. So it's better to post on ios 8#.

In the betas there was an option for that, but I haven't been able to do that on my 4S on public release.. May be a bug..
