Defective Camera

Alright, I recently bought a 3GS off some guy on craigs list since it was brand new and $200 cheaper so I needed to unlock it to use on my carrier. Now it has a defective camera and I need to somehow take it into the apple store to get a new one. Anyone got any ideas on how I'm going to do that if my sim doesn't work without a jailbroken/unlocked phone and I can't show them the problem
