Defrag media drive??

I have almost 1tb of music on an internal drive in my iMac. Does mavericks maintain the hard drive or do I need to defrag it, like I used too back in the day on windows? Sometimes I noticed it takes iTunes a little bit to load a song.

Defragging is not needed, I once or twice scanned older TB HDDs for defragmentation and it was about 1% in those cases, nothing to worry about.
