Hello all!

I am running a MBP C2D 2.33GHz (A1211 model) with an SSD. I have already learned the lesson about not defragging the SSD, but my question is:

Can I defrag a virtual machine from within the virtual machine, even though it's running on an SSD, or is that just as bad as defragging an SSD from the host machine? As I write this, it's occurring to me that it is probably just as bad, but I would still be interested to hear anyone's thoughts on the subject.

Thanks in advance!

I think your were the person that told me that in a previous thread. Makes sense the more I think about it. Even though it's a VM, it's still running on an SSD. I guess I couldn't have thought through that one myself but just wanted to bounce the thought off someone else. Thanks!
