Delay in power reserve mode

For the first time today I put my watch in power reserve and noticed that it takes 3 - 4 seconds from the time I press the crown for the time to appear. Is this normal behavior? Like I said, it’s my first time using it so have nothing to compare it to.

Also, which Apple Watch model do you have? Older watches might be slower in general.

BTW, you’re pressing the side button, and not the Digital Crown to put it into power reserve, right? Remember that these buttons have dual functionality. So a short press on the side button brings up the dock, but a longer press brings up the power reserve menu.
