Delay when opening new window, or adding page to reading list, on Safari 14.0.x

Since Safari 14.0.2 or so, every time I open a new window there is a delay of several seconds.
This also happens when I add a page to my Reading List.

If I disable the certain extensions the delay becomes much less.
If I disable all my extensions then the delay goes away.

However, there was no such delay before the Safari version noted above.
So this is a recent performance regression.

Anybody else noticed this?

yes. been looking for a fix for this issue that started in v14. hope this is resolved in the next update.

Noticed this as well. About 2 seconds to open up a new window or private window.

Looks like 14.0.3 solved this.
