Delete Alias on Network

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to my work network.
When i connect i can see the volume to connec to.

But then i get a message that says "The alias 'Steven' could not be opened because the original item could not be found.

My question is, what happens if i click delete alias... will it delete the entire network?? i doubt, but i want to be sure.
