Go to Apps, then utilities and go to Bootcamp Assistant. Follow the instructions on removing it.
 
also wouldn't hurt to go to Preferences, Startup Disk, and click on Mac OSX and restart. for some reason, after i deleted my bootcamp partition, when i restarted it booted to a black screen saying no OS.

i had to boot using the Option button until i found the above fix for it, weird.

ok thats good to know, also since i deleted the partition on my imac am i able to use the cd key for that same copy of xp on my macbook?
 
yes, but if you already activated a retail version of XP, then call microsoft again and get a new key - just tell them you had to reformat your computer. they will give you a new code.
