Maybe I'm misunderstanding the way the Delete Draft function is supposed to work, or maybe there's a bug, but after I've typed something and tap Delete Draft, nothing changes; the text is still visible. I have to manually select it and use my keyboard's delete to remove it. I'm doing this on an iPad Pro on 13.6.1 with a Magic Keyboard with the desktop version of this site.

When you type in a message it's automatically saved on the backend as you go, this way if you leave the page for any reason during that post it will be there when you come back as a draft, preventing the loss of your post. You will often notice this if you decide to wipe out the post and later go to reply somewhere else, which can be frustrating. Deleting that draft will make it disappear completely. Hope that makes sense. :)

So you're saying Delete Draft means it won't remove the text in the post box, but removes a version that's saved on the backend?
