Okay, this has happened to me for as long as I can remember, but I'm finally getting so annoyed by it that I want to find a way around it. Here's the deal: I attach a file to an email and send it off in Mail.app. Works great. Now I don't want that file anymore, so I try to delete it. It goes in the trash just fine, but when I try to empty the trash, it insists that Mail is still using this file. The only way to delete this file is to quit Mail, empty the trash, then re-open Mail. Is there any way around this? Is there some way to tell Mail to STOP using that file after it's done sending? Surely this happens to other people...
