Delete Key on 2016 MBP w/ TB

so....the delete key is kind of weird on my pro, I just got it, usually if I have a wall of text and want to delete. I just hold it with my pinky but this one is not doing it as it should be. I have to double press it or triple press it to actually do it.

Anyone else's having this problem? is it just like this or do I just have a bad delete key.

restart it, @cmaier told me above it to do it, and it fixed it.

Sadly, tried that and SMC reset. When I hold the delete button, it deletes each letter at basically 1 letter/second.
