I'm new to Mac. I just bought my MBP this week. Anyway I deleted a folder off an external hard drive that had Windows stuff on it from the drive's manufacturer. (I won't need it and it was just taking up space) Anyway, I can't empty the trash because the files in the folder I deleted are locked.

Does anyone know of a way around this? I tried deleting the folder via terminal with "rmdir /Users/andrew/.Trash/MyFolder" but that did not work because the folder is not empty. I read there is a small utility called UnlockAll that will batch unlock a group of files. However, the Version Tracker download doesn't work and I was not able to find it anywhere else.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
