Hello, on my 5S with iOS 8 GM i was always able to swipe to the left on a mail notification on the lock screen to delete. Its the same with the iPhone 6, but its asking me for my pw or touch id confirmation.

Am i missing a setting? Thanks

Well certainly if you have a pw/Touch ID on then you shouldn't be able to delete emails without entering your pw/scanning your fingerprint.

No sir, i also had touch id on my 5s with all the beta and GM versions of iOS 8.

Can someone please confirm its a feature of the release iOS 8 version or am i missing something? Thanks

It's part of the iOS 8 GM. I too noticed that change going from beta to GM.

I understand, my point is that they likely realize that it's a security flaw and disabled it.

Awe man. It makes sense but i wish they'd give us the option to turn that off, it was so easy before on the betas all the way to GM

Understandable. I just meant to say it was working one way for over 3 months then in the final build they changed it. It makes sense for security, I'm just so used to it the other way haha:D

Lol I know, I agree as well. Got used to it being a simple swipe to delete a mail item. Now it feels like an extra step.
