iCloud Delete my default icloud email address and get a new one? Possible?

Is it possible to change the default iCloud email? The one that is connected to my main account. Im getting so many spam email (+40 / day) to it and iCloud is so damn bad to filter these out. Ive been trying to create filters for these but it doesn't seem to help so I want to delete my current default iCloud email so that I stop getting these damn emails

I think the OP is asking if he can change the xxx@icloud.com email address.

The email address I sign into my Apple acound is NOT my iCloud email. I have changed that address, but never had cause to change the actual @icloud address.

I have never seen an option to change that, but doesn't mean its not possible though.

Have you contacted Apple support? I'm sure that you will not be the only one with the SPAM issue.

If the spammy account you want to get rid of is also the account you use for media and purchases, then you could create a new iCloud account and use the spammy account as the secondary account in settings for Media & Purchases. And down the road, if you prefer to only have one account, once you've finished the tiresome task of migrating to the new email address, you could take advantage of the fact that Apple finally allows us to migrate purchases from one Apple account to another.
