delete photos

Hi all..

Simple question, but its tearing my hair out (whats left of it...)

I have sync photos from mac to ipad, and realising i am unable to sync back o mac, and/or "add" photos to iPad, I thought "No problem, I'll just delete the ones on iPad" and grab the originals from backup CD..

However, low and behold, I can't even delete the ones on iPad, (there in photo stream app)..

Why can't i delete these ?

I have tried the demo of this software. It worked for me once perfectly but failed the second time. I'm not really ready to pay for it until I work it out but it may be OK. You can move up to 100 items with the demo.

ok thanks..

But i decided to just leave the originals on the iPad, and re-sync all photos from mac, overwriting the ones already on iPad.

Its kind of a bummer.

Unless you take photos from an IOS device, you can't delete directly from iPad.

1. delete file(s) from mac,
2. Use iTunes to sync

EVen if the goal is NOT to remove anything from Mac.

There should really be a way from Apple's photo stream to remove directly, not just those that were taken with the in-bult camera..

Third party apps help, but clearly this seems like an "apple mistake"

Its easy for Apple, but requires you to always have copy stored somewhere.
