Ages ago I installed VMWare but learned about bootcamp and used that as much quicker than running vmware inside mac.

I have a file in my documents called 'Virtual Machines' and inside is Windows 7. I want to delete as taking 25GB, but I'm scared it has something to do with my Bootcamp (I do not want to delete my bootcamp windows as important documents with work).

Am I safe to delete?

Yes ... the VM in your documents folder is the standalone Windows 7 VM, not related to your BootCamp installation. You can move it, archive it, or delete it as you desire.
