need to figure out how to move files from a mac drive to an external drive to go onto my pc, the files are all one large vob movie files, so i cant move to fat32, if i try to move to ntfs mac wont let me...

Look for NTFS-3G.

FAT32 (File Allocation Table)

• Read/Write FAT32 from both native Windows and native Mac OS X.
• Maximum file size: 4GB.
• Maximum volume size: 2TB

NTFS (Windows NT File System)

• Read/Write NTFS from native Windows.
• Read only NTFS from native Mac OS X

• To Read HFS+ (but not Write) from Windows, Install HFSExplorer

exFAT (FAT64)

• Supported in Mac OS X only in 10.6.5 or later.
• Not all Windows versions support exFAT. See disadvantages.

• Maximum file size: 16 EiB

I am in the mac side in lion downloaded this ntfs3g at the end it had me reboot, but not quite getting it, my ntfs external is plugged in but is not even showing on my desktop like my mac drives are (I think it used to at least show up but I couldn't move files to it) I am very new to mac here so not exactly sure what the user guide means when it talks about mounting drives?
