Deleted 1.6gb file from iphone 5s but available storage figure unchanged

Hello everyone, I used ifile to delete a 1.6 GB file from my iphone 5s. However, to my dismay after deleting the file my available storage figure remained unchanged.

What could be the issue? Thanks in advance for your help.

How long did you wait between deleting and checking the availability? In my experience, it takes time for the phone to truly clear the storage, and its not all at once either.

Hey matthewv1227 did some more digging using ifunbox and apparently when you delete a file using ifile it goes to its recycle bin. So I had to clear that.

The pathway is var/mobile/Library/iFile/Trash

Ah did not see "ifile" and thought you'd just said a file... assumed a movie or something. Glad you were able to figure it out!
