iPod Deleted All Of My Library Ahhhhhhhh

Hi all i accidentally deleted my entire library. from an external drive.

needed clearing out anyway but not that clean


problem is i don't remember what albums i had.


Is there a way of a simple program i can import my library file into and getting a list of the albums and artists i had ????

Cant you just load the library file into iTunes and then see what files you got? Or did you delete them from iTunes itself? Another question, did you have a backup? Hope so.

i was wondering if there is an app i can load my library file into to list my albums and then i can decide what i want on again.


i have managed to recover most of the music however the filnames have all been changed. and no id 3 tags present on a lot of them. (why doesnt itunes right the id3 tags?)

as for ipod i have an iphone. with about 20 of those albums on any way of putting those back into itunes?

iTunes does actually change the filenames when you edit the ID3 tags. Maybe you should put on the option in:
Preferences > Advanced > Keep iTunes Music folder organized.

For the rest of you questions I have no idea. Sorry.
