Deleted App Store- how do I get it back?

Hey all,

I was trying to download Lion and it was being very glitchy - it just would not download. In frustration I trashed the App Store (and emptied the trash), thinking I would redownload it. Then I remembered that the App Store isn't a separate download, it's only part of 10.6.6. I tried to DL 10.6.6, but it wont' install because my OS is too up-to-date (10.6.8).

Long story short - how do I get the App Store back???

Open up Software Update. You can get it from there.

It's not in software update for me anymore...

Anyway I just found it on this somewhat sketchy-looking website. Hoping it's clean: http://www.qubesys.com/reinstall-mac-app-store/

Try downloading the COMBO update for 10.6.8. You can find it here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399. This will reinstall Mac OS 10.6.8 and install any files that might be missing. So it might restore the Mac APP Store.
