I deleted earlier today and every since my macbook has been running really slow. I looked at the console I guess the reason is that it's showing things like

8/19/08 8:47:22 PM com.apple.launchd[77] (com.avast.MacAvast[1274]) posix_spawnp("/Applications/avast!.app/Contents/MacOS/avast!", ...): No such file or directory

8/19/08 8:47:22 PM com.apple.launchd[77] (com.avast.MacAvast) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

So it's constantly trying to start something that isn't there. I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone know anyway to fix it?

Yes... reinstall it. and then go download app zapper, appdelete, apptrash, some app uninstaller. you didnt uninstall it properly the first time. so just get one of those apps and get rid of it for good.
