Deleted chats but WhatsApp still taking up space

Hi. I cleaned most of my whatsapp chats and files, but the app is still taking the same amount of storage on my iPhone. It is like the chats and files are still there, although I deleted them.

Updating whatsapp didn't help.

Does anyone know how to reclaim the space on my phone? Thanks!
