Hi, my nephew deleted this from the dock. The trash was securely emptied too. Dashboard still works from the mouse and F4. I looked everywhere for Dashboard. Its not in applications where it should be. How do I get this icon back into the dock? I will never let anyone use my Mac unattended again! MC

In Leopard, I have the dashboard icon (Dashboard.app) in HD --> Applications.

If that doesn't work, Spotlight Dashboard.app and click show in finder, then drag to dock.

It really should be in the applications folder if it was simply removed from the dock.

Have you tried searching for Dashboard through spotlight.

Hi, I tried Spotlighting Dashboard.app and get nothing. It must be somewhere if it still opens with F4 and the mouse. I just want the icon back on the Dock. MC

You may have to re-install to get it, unless someone will email a copy of the dashboard.app to you.

Thanks, I guess I put in the #1 grey Tiger disk right? My iMac came with a drop-in Leopard upgrade. Can I choose what app I want to install? Any help to point me in the right direction to fix this will be great.

I need help! Is it possible for someone to share that same file with me?

I tried something from "Mac Tips and Tricks" to use Dashboard Widgets on my desktop, and when I followed the commands to stop using it, it killed my dashboard...

help please, I love my dashboard, and now it's gone...

Thanks!
