In an attempt to use bootcamp and install Windows on an external SSD, from within the Windows setup, I deleted the main partition that had my OSX OS and data. I have a backup, but do to space limitations, I don't have ALL of my files, most, but not all. I caught what I was doing before I formatted the new partition, but, like I said, I deleted it.
If I hold the options key and boot, go to disk utilities, I can see the System reserved, the empty space, and the 30 GB Bootcamp partition. I know I can reinstall, but would rather not.
Is there anyway to recover that lost partition - it hasn't been written over as I did not continue with the install of Windows and can't boot to OSX. It is 220.1 GB.
Thanks in advance... And yes, I am kicking myself - HARD!
