Deleted my contacts while attempting to back the up

Hello,
when i finally decided to sync my contacts on the mac address book , i lost all of them!
Is there a way to get them back?

i found an SQL file in the backup but i cant find a way to read it

i also found a backup file for viber with a .data file called contacts
and when i open it in text edit, i can see random phone numbers and random names of my contacts without the numbers matching to any contact

is there a way i could get this file to mean something ?

I would appreciate your help, as i am a starting fresh with my public relations in business and i need those contacts desperately
