Guys.. I need help, my device is jailbroken and i accidentally delete a plist file on iFile. As a result, cydia, appstore, music app, messages, safari, camera, calendar and other built-in apps are deleted. I cannot do messaging which is very important to me. Only left are those apps that i have downloaded. The only thing that i remember is that i deleted the "activation menu..." Something. Then all the apps are gone!

I need advice how to fix this problem since i have ios 7.0.4 and i dont want to restore. There's no current jailbreak for the new update. Thank you.

Btw, sorry for my face, cant change the wallpaper since i cant access my photos

Find the Plist from you backup and try restoring that or you could try resetting you home screen layout to see if that fixes it.

Is there any chance the plist file is still in the iFile trash can? Or did you empty that?

I would also try resetting the home screen layout like the previous poster suggested.

Edit: you can also try going to /var/mobile/library/springboard and then delete the iconstate files and iconsupport state files. After deleting them make sure to respring. This will also reset your home screen layout so if that matters you might want to backup these files before deleting them.

What happens if you Swipe Down for Spotlight and search for Settings? If you can access it go to General--> Reset --> Reset Home Screen Layout.

I went throughout his same crap this week. Barreldock/Dockflow or whatever that crap tweak has been renamed caused the issue. JB gone. All my core apps were gone, even settings, file and cydia disappeared. I had to restore to get it all back. 7.1 is solid, but i want my JB back!!

did you try semi-restore or ilexrat before restoring to 7.1?

I did and it didn't work. I installed the new app that let's you air drop other files and it messed mine up. I tried both and neither restored my stock apps so I had to restore to 7.1 and loose my jb.

Best thing to do is restore and take it as a lesson learned not to mess with the File System unless you have some business and lots of experience with it.

Bam, best advise.
I see way too many people messing up their JB by playing with things they're not supposed to.
And now that you cant restore to Jailbreakable firmware you'd be staying stock for a while.
