Hey everyone,

I accidentally deleted my system preferences somehow and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it back. I am fairly new to having my MBP. I am working with 10.6.7. If anyone can help out, I would really appreciate it!:D

Deleted System Preferences from your Dock? Just launch it from your Applications folder, then, when it's open, right-click on the Dock icon and select "Keep in Dock"

It literally disappeared from the Applications folder ><
Have you tried searching for it in Finder?

Must be the fact that I am new to this Mac, but, I cannot figure it out. Anyone care to help via screen share?

Did you download pacifist and put in your mac install disk? Afterwards you just have to click "open apple install disks" and then wait a minute while it opens. Next, I would just put in "System Preferences.app" in the search bar and see what you find. The system preferences app file should come up, and you should be able to copy it back onto your mac from there.
