Earlier today I started a thread in Applications about Transmission. I come back now and it's vanished. Has it been deleted by a mod? This seems strange...

This is best dealt with by contacting a mod through the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page, not by a public discussion.

If you posted something that would involve stealing of any sort of media or violating any other laws your post would have been deleted as that is against the rules. But you can contact a mod for further clarification.

Thanks for your replies, I didn't think there would be a problem as torrents etc seem to be pretty freely discussed around here. Sounds a bit hypocritical to me. It's not like i robbed a bank.

Legal forms of file sharing can be discussed, but as soon as "help me, I'm trying to download some music or torrent a copy of The Hangover" things go away...

The Rules said:
Warez/Serials/Keys. Do not post software serial numbers or keys or refer people to specific websites, software, or techniques whose purpose is to break or bypass software licensing methods, distribute cracks, or obtain or use commercial software or media in violation of its license and/or for copyright violation. Do not ask for or give such help.
