No, it still has the old screen (which is not that great).
Many of us are excited about the rumor of an upcoming IGZO retina-screen for a new MBA in 2014.
no IPS, but it's definitely a much better TN panel than most others. in fact.. i compared my Air's display to my relative's Vizio 14" IPS notebook, and the Air held up pretty well as far as viewing angles, colors, and brightness. the Vizio IPS display was better of course, but not by much.
