I posted this in another forum but got 0 replies, so I figure I would try here.

Some of the movies and tv shows I have on itunes also downloaded a 720p or sd version. I just want to keep the 1080p versions.

How do I delete the different versions but just keep the 1080p version ? I know I can go into finder and just do it that way, I just don't want to have any itunes missing files stuff come up.

The easiest way to do it is have two Finder windows open. Navigate to the file location via iTunes, manually delete the SD Version, and then in iTunes, click on delete for the specific movie. However when it asks you if you want to keep the file or send it to trash, just click you want to keep it.
Next, drag the 1080p file to the other Finder window (After navigating to the Automatically add to iTunes folder.) This will put the file back in iTunes, but now you'll have just the HD tag as opposed to the HD-SD tag. You can then empty your trash bin to get rid of the SD Version.

I know it seems like a lot of steps, but it really doesn't take long.
