hi.. 30 years of ibm pc... so be nice.. lol
i just did a migration of my pc to my mac.. for the sake of example....
my main account is STEVE.. the migration created a new user STEVE1 with folders abc,def and ghi in a main folder called 'files from c'.
i manually copied the 3 folders to my main STEVE account. now i have the same data under 2 accounts...
can i just now delete that migration account ?..
i would bet my savings that the data is indeed just a duplicate.. and deleting that STEVE1 account will only delete my 'files from c' folder.. all my data on STEVE will remain ? i have not done anything on that other temp account.
since i've only had the mac for a week, i'm afraid to even turn the power on.
by the way.. i also thru out my blackberry phone and playbook and now have an iphone and ipad..
now this was tough to buy an imac..
i still have my TANDY RADIO SHACK MODEL 1 computer from 1980.. there was a big feud between we 8088 computer geeks and the macintosh geeks.. even though our pixels were rectangular in shape.
now what was my question again ?
